And author of the new children's book series:
An untiring supporter of fellow songwriters and performers Roxanne co-founded Songsalive! not-for-profit songwriting organisation in 1997. The original Sydney chapter has expanded both nationally and internationally to the U.S. Sponsored locally by the Australasian Performing Right Association, (A.P.R.A.)
Roxanne has been instrumental in bringing together elements of the industry which simply work well, such as promoting the unusually gifted lyric and composition lecturer, Pat Pattison, Berkleee College alumnus, who regularly conducts seminars in Australia, and members of the local songwriting communities who have profited from the methods he teaches.
Co-founding Songsalive! ( now Songsalive! U.S.) with Gilli Moon, proved to be a significant event in Roxanne's personal life as well, providing the vehicle whereby she met her husband, Stephen Kiely, who joined the organisation soon after its formation.
Together, Roxanne and Stephen have written, recorded and produced award-winning songs for the Busy Izzy and Friends project, as well as designed and implemented an exciting live show featuring characters from the stories, featuring friendship, fun and healthy food..

After living out of a suitcase for a few years as a touring musician with his band RadioActive, Stephen turned his hand to advertising jingles, and ventured into film score arranging, but his first love is the popular song.
Stephen has been a writer member of APRA (the Australasian Performing Right Association) for over 25 years, and believes that it is the strong support which APRA gives to the Australian songwriting community which has helped foster its growth into the modern, successful industry it has become.
Joining the original Songsalive! organisation in 1997, became Workshop Director, developed the original Songsalive! website into a cohesive and streamlined interactive experience, and designed the covers for the compilation CD's from the 2nd to the 11th editions.
As a member of the TSC committee, Stephen handles many of the duties associated with The Song Comp, Songsalive! Australia's own songwriting competition.
Together, Roxanne and Stephen have developed the ScoopFX Music Tuition school, which provides one-on-one classes in singing, piano, guitar, bass, vocal and of course, songwriting.
Shaun is a passionate songwriter with a penchant for strong rhythms and adventurous lyrics.
Shaun has been our monthly workshop director since 2018. His genial manner and genuine interest in new songwriters makes him the perfect choice for this position. You can join him at the workshops on the first Wednesday of the month at camperdoen Commons in Sydney.

Robert was fortunate to have done a lot of his growing up in the 1950's, 60's & 70's at a time when popular music was undergoing profound change and yet still had strong roots in the past.
Robert's family had a great appreciation for music, with opera prominent, but running in parallel with American music dating back to mid-1800's with Stephen Foster and Mitch Miller key. His parents had a great appreciation for some of the great tenors, ballet music highlighted by Chopin & Tchaikovsky, moving through to Rodgers & Hammerstein, Lerner & Loewe and similar. The great musicals from The Golden Years of Hollywood of the 1930's through to the 1970's were also part of his "musical education".
Robert played the drums in his primary school years, but played no other instruments in a formal sense until taught guitar by Stephen Kiely from about 2012. Thereafter, Roxanne Kiely & Stephen Kiely nurtured Robert's keen interest in song writing, which is now his great passion. Robert has since also taken to playing the ukulele.
As a member of the TSC committee, Robert handles sponsorships associated with The Song Comp, Songsalive! Australia's own songwriting competition.
Robert is a Carer, enjoys many sports (sadly now, mostly as a spectator) enjoys reading, travel, food and wine appreciation, along with his music.
One of the best things you can do for your song, especially if you're almost finished, or have just recently finished it, is to bring it to a workshop.
Having your song listened to, and critiqued by fellow songwriters, often shows up elements which may need addressing, or extending. Sometimes, new ideas flow from the creative reactions to the song, and you find it benefits greatrly from having been given a hearing before finally committing it to recording.
Workshops are held on the first Wednesday of the month at
31A Mallett St, Camperdown NSW 2050

Songsalive! Australia is an independent songwriting community advancing Australian songwriters.
